I discovered the use of charcoal as my primary media. This could revolutionize my art, I know that. The most eye-opening part was learning to use powdered charcoal and a paintbrush to apply the basic shading. Days and weeks are saved with this technique, in contrast with my old practice of using strictly pencils.
